BILLY & JULIE MELTON
Billy and Julie have been married for thirty-eight years and make their home in North Carolina. Billy has a background in accounting and finance. Julie has a professional background in social work and now serves in her local church in care ministry. In addition, she provides life coaching and other services with a counseling practice. Billy and Julie are involved in a community group and other aspects of service and leadership in their church. They have recently become grandparents.
God blessed them with two wonderful daughters. Jessica, the youngest, is a joy and a delight, full of the light of the Lord. Jessica and her husband are faithful and active members in their local church, a blessing to all those around them. Juliana, their eldest daughter, is now rejoicing in heaven with Jesus. Juliana was married for two and a half years. Juliana and her husband were involved in their local church community. She worked in public service for a state representative after receiving her masters in Government and International Relations at Regent University. During the second year of marriage, Juliana suffered a brain tumor. After sixteen months of treatment, she went to be with Jesus on Valentine’s Day 2018.
Juliana was passionate about life and sharing the love of Jesus with others by the way she lived every day. She was always joyful and full of thanksgiving. She showed us how to live well, love well and finish well, in light of eternity. In honor of Juliana, the Melton’s established a memorial scholarship at Regent University to be awarded to a graduate student pursuing a career in public service.
In 2021, Billy and Julie partnered with a local church to begin a ministry called Restoring Hope. This is a support group for parents of child loss. It is their desire to come along side other parents who are grieving the loss of their children. They want others to experience the faithfulness and sovereignty of God while knowing the joyful hope in the glory of God.
