DAN & KRISTIN NAYLOR

Dan and Kristin Naylor reside in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with three amazing children, Isaac (9), Eli (7) and Olive (4). Their precious Abby was stillborn at 39 weeks in July of 2018.

Kristin grew up in Fort Wayne and then made her way to the East Coast after college to dance with the American Repertory Ballet. She met Dan, a PA native, at the church they were attending and developed a wonderful friendship. They enjoyed both shenanigans and ministry together, and married in 2012.

Dan has a Theological Studies degree from Palmer Seminary and is currently employed by Schneider Electric. Kristin teaches ballet and is grateful to invest most of her time in raising their children. They’ve been in ministry together most of their adult lives. From 2007 - 2019 they poured themselves into a ministry Kristin founded, The Humanity Share, that assists communities in East Africa with basic needs, education and sustainable incomes.

After Abby’s death they dedicated themselves to healthy grief, and the companionship of other bereaved parents has been life giving. They lead a (While We’re Waiting) support group in Fort Wayne as well as bereaved parent weekend retreats twice per year. They are passionate advocates that help other pregnancy loss families know that their precious babies are not a “lesser loss” – and that both their pain and their children’s lives are valid and valuable.
