David and Donna Freeman

David and Donna met in high school and have been married for more than fifty years. In 1980 David began his lifelong career as a remodeling contractor in the Indianapolis area with Donna working alongside, managing the office responsibilities, until she accepted a position in Perry Township schools several years later. They are blessed with two children Kelli and Brian. Kelli, a former grade school teacher, is happily married and busy raising two lovely daughters.

In July of 1999, the life of their son Brian was tragically taken in an automobile accident at the age of 16, just prior to his Jr. year at Center Grove high school. A year following Brian’s passing, the Brian Freeman Memorial Foundation was formed to perpetuate the kind and generous spirit that was so obvious in this young man’s life. Since its inception, the mission of the BFMF has been to “love and care for people as Brian would have”. Awarding scholarships, supporting youth mission trips and summer camps, and investing financially and practically into the lives of people who are in need are examples of the fulfillment of that mission.

The Freeman’s are now enjoying retirement and are very active in the ministry of their church. Donna enjoys decorating and event planning, but her passion is taking care of her family, especially her two granddaughters. David has a passion for music and remains active in singing in various choirs, ensembles and wherever he finds an open door for personal ministry. Boating, traveling or simply taking a drive to enjoy the beauty of southern Indiana are their favorite life adventures.
