EMILY MATUZA

Emily is a wife, mother, and former school secretary. She now works for a software company in client support. She was recently commissioned as a Stephen Minister. Grieshare has also been a passion of hers since 2020.

Emily lives with her husband Joe in a suburb south of Minneapolis, Minnesota. They raised four children there with one of them losing his battle with depression during his freshman year of college in March of 2019. It was around this time that her son passed away and her parents who lived out of state simultaneously started struggling with Alzheimer’s and Vascular Dementia.

God has opened doors for her to speak to teens about their mental health and help grieving suicide loss parents who are just starting the difficult journey. She is encouraged by the many moments God has been there in her storm. It is this truth that propels her to help others.
