Jim and Sharon Dodson

Jim and Sharon Dodson have been married 54 years. Jim served in pastoral ministry for 50 years both as Associate and Senior Pastor. His love is leading people in worship through music. He conducts and arranges for choir, orchestras, and various vocal and instrumental ensembles.

Sharon is an English teacher, but has spent most of her adult life in the medical field. She was on staff for 18 years at Riley Children’s Hospital in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit. She supported families of hospitalized newborns. Her spiritual gifts include hospitality, mercy and encouragement. She loves to listen and is very approachable. Jim says she is a Pied Piper with children.

Their daughter, Jamie, died last April at the age of 43. She was born with hydrocephalus causing her to have massive brain damage and severe physical and visual limitations. Though told by her physicians she would never be able to see, interact or respond interpersonally, she did. She required constant care, but her contributions to the family far outweighed those constraints. She was a very happy and loving daughter who is missed deeply by her family.
