ROB & PAM STALETS

Rob and Pam Stalets have been married for thirty-eight years and have two children, Christa and Robbie. While in various ministries for much of their lives, they also owned multiple businesses, which were in the process of being franchised by private equity investment when tragedy struck. Robbie, who went from being a healthy, vibrant, sixteen-year-old boy that loved life and people, had a short five week journey with complications from leukemia. Unexpectedly, Robbie gained Heaven in February of 2015.

The tragedy stopped the two-year franchising process, and they eventually had to sell their businesses and move from their home. On top of the grief of losing their son they were also immediately faced with the challenge of their faith concerning healing. They had to revisit the foundation of their faith that the goodness of God was demonstrated at the cross and not from the outcomes of life’s trials.

Romans 5:8 – “But God clearly shows and proves his own love for us by the fact that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”.

Since their son gained Heaven, they have been involved with GriefShare and have been leading the program for the past seven years, focusing on child loss. Pam also founded a support group for bereaved mothers called “Stronger Together” that currently meets at their home.

It is their desire to share the comfort and insights they have received from the Lord through their grief journey.
