Susan Albers
Susan and her high school sweetheart, Greg, have been married for 40 years and were blessed with two children, Hanson and Jane. At the age of 27, Hanson died of an accidental overdose in 2019 after battling for years with mental anguish and bouts of addiction. Their story of loss is also one of "beauty from ashes," and they love to tell the stories of how God powerfully displayed his presence and "glimpses of glory" to them in the midst of their pain and suffering.
Susan served in women's ministries for many years at Zionsville Fellowship--leading, teaching, speaking, writing curriculum, and discipling women. After intentionally passing the baton of leadership to younger women in the church, she surprisingly found herself serving in various philanthropic roles in Christian ministries around the city of Indianapolis. She now serves joyfully as Director of Development at Indianapolis Theological Seminary, a young and growing seminary in the city. The Lord graciously led her to a place and a role that beautifully combines her love for the Lord, His word, His heart of generosity, and His people.
