MISTY WEST

Misty is a native Texan and homeschool mom living in the DFW area. She and her husband, Jody, were married in 1992 and have 3 precious children, Mychal, Jonathan, and Rayne, with whom they have enjoyed – and almost completed – their homeschool adventure. Tragically, in January 2023, at the age of 18, Jonathan took his life after battling and masking deep depression unknown to his family.

Jonathan was kind- hearted, a hard worker, generous, and a delight with a robust humor. He is desperately missed. We thank the Lord for His promise that “there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Though still navigating the early years of grief, Misty hopes to comfort and encourage other parents in sharing how the Lord has comforted her through devastating loss.
